La carcoma es el nombre común de diversos insectos coleópteros xilófagos de la familia anóbidos. Miden entre 4 y 8 mm de longitud, tienen forma cilíndrica y tanto los adultos como las larvas excavan galerías en la madera, alimentándose de ella.
Disponemos de un sistema efectivo al 100% para exterminación de todo tipo de insectos xilófagos que ataca a la madera u otros objetos.
Consiste en introducir el mueble en una bolsa termo sellada, a la cual la extraemos, mediante una válvula, el aire de su interior y posteriormente le introducimos un gas inerte (Argón) . Este proceso lo repetiremos varias veces hasta conseguir que en el interior de la bolsa los niveles de oxigeno sean inferiores al 0.2%.

Con esos niveles de oxigeno conseguimos que muera en sus cuatro fases de ciclo vital, huevo, larva, pupa e insecto.
Mientras el mueble permanece en el interior de la bolsa, mantenemos controlados los niveles de temperatura y humedad.
El tiempo que permanece el mueble en su interior no será inferior a 15 días, tiempo suficiente para la muerte por anoxia de todos los insectos de su interior.
Este sistema no produce ningún perjuicio al mueble, sea de las características que sea, dorado, policromado, etc. Ni tampoco mancha ni deja olores en tapicerías ni en ninguna superficie del mueble.
En la actualidad es un sistema usado frecuentemente en museos por su eficacia y su nula toxicidad para el trabajador y el medio ambiente.
Posteriormente aplicamos un disolvente orgánico incoloro, de acción preventiva y curativa.
Este tratamiento cumple las normas:
EN 118 – EN 46 – EN 113/EN 73 y EN 113/EN 84 – EN 22.
La realización completa de este tratamiento de desinsectación implica una garantía de diez años.

Woodworm is the name commonly given to various xylophagous coleoptera insects of the anobiidae family. Between 4 and 8 mm long, they are cylindrical in shape and both larvae and adults dig galleries in the wood in order to feed.
We have a 100% effective system to exterminate all types of xylophagous insects which attack wood or other objects.
This system consists of placing the item of furniture into a sealed thermal bag. The air is then extracted from the bag by means of a valve and an inert gas (Argón) is introduced. This process is repeated a number of times until the level of oxygen in the bag is below 0.2%.
This level of oxygen ensures the death of the insect at the four phases of its life cycle, egg, larva, pupa and insect.
While the item is in the bag the temperature and humidity levels are controlled.
The item will remain in the bag for up to 15 days. This period of time ensures the death, by anoxia, of all insects inside the item.
This system does not damage the item of furniture in any way, regardless of the characteristics of the item, gilded, polychrome, etc. It does not stain or leave odours on upholstery or any surface of the item.
This system is currently in frequent use in museums due to its efficiency and its non-toxicity for the worker and the environment.
A colourless organic solvent with preventative and healing properties is later applied.
This treatment complies with the regulations:
